Are you taking new patients?
Yes. Please give our office a call at 541-928-6650 to schedule an appointment for a new patient exam. We will usually schedule this along with a dental cleaning.
What happens at a new patient exam?
Most of the time, we schedule two hours for a new patient exam. At this appointment, digital x-rays are taken. A thorough exam of your teeth, gums and all tissues in your mouth are screened for decay and disease. Time with the hygienist for a dental cleaning is also part of this first visit. If you have current x-rays from another office, we welcome you to have them transferred.
Can you see my children?
Of course! Dr. Nicholson enjoys treating the entire family. The first appointment for a child is different from that of an adult. We understand that children can not sit as long. We take great care in making sure your child’s experience with us is a positive one. We often hear from parents that their young children “just can’t wait to come back”.
Do you take my insurance?
We participate with ODS and Dental Dental. We can bill other insurance plans, but we do recommend that you contact your insurance company to check to see if you can see anyone, not just those dentists listed as a provider.
What are your hours?
We see patients Monday thru Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Does Dr. Nicholson do root canals?
Dr. Nicholson will do some root canals. Sometimes Dr. Nicholson needs to refer these to a specialist called an endodontist. We can help you get this appointment set up.
Does Dr. Nicholson do implants?
Yes, implants are a great way to restore teeth and are becoming a routine way of replacing missing teeth. Dr. Nicholson works closely with an oral surgeon to make an implant for a patient. The oral surgeon places the fixture part that goes into the bone, and Dr. Nicholson makes the crown to put on top.
Do you do bleaching?
Yes! We are happy to explain the bleaching process to you and help you decide if bleaching is appropriate for your teeth and which style would work best.
